To waterproof the exterior wall of a house, you can start by inspecting the wall for any cracks, gaps, or damage that could allow water to seep in. Seal any cracks or gaps with a waterproof sealant or caulk. Consider applying a waterproofing membrane or coating to the exterior wall to provide an extra layer of protection against moisture. Additionally, make sure that the gutters and downspouts are functioning properly to direct water away from the house. Finally, consider landscaping around the house to ensure that the ground slopes away from the foundation, preventing water from pooling against the exterior wall. **

A portable air conditioner in an apartment can make noise throughout the entire house because the unit is typically placed in one room, and the sound it generates while running can easily travel through the open space of the apartment. Additionally, the noise from the air conditioner's compressor, fan, and airflow can reverberate off walls and ceilings, amplifying the sound. The compact size and design of portable air conditioners may also contribute to the noise level as they often lack the insulation and soundproofing of larger, built-in units. **
